We all live extraordinary moments from time to time. Even if you are going through really bad times you can remember a moment in time when things were great for you. However, living the extraordinary life is different. It means than you set your life to live extraordinary moments CONSTANTLY, not just from time to time. And believe me it is not as hard as it seems. If you have been wondering how to live a better life this article is definitely for you.
WHAT IS A EXTRAORDINARY LIFE?
Good question! What does it mean for you? Don't fall into the trap of believing that living an extraordinary life means that you...
are a bilionaire or that you date Jennifer Lopez. Well the extraordinary life is NOT just about acheiving a specific result, even if it can be part of it.
Let me explain. When you are too focused on results it can mean that until you get the result you won't allow yourself to feel great. You see the problem? The reason we all want what we want, is because we believe we will feel better when we have it. So the emotion, the great feeling, is what we are really after! So if we set too many rules about when and why to feel great, we might as well never get there!
YOU CAN FEEL GREAT NOW!
You can feel great now, or in the next minutes. If it sounds too difficult from where you are, you could definitly feel a little bit better in the next hours or days. Let's make a quick recap here. You don't have to wait for the results to feel great. Feeling great is what we really want. Now let's move forward. These are not the circumstances that define how we feel! So what defines the way we feel? FOCUS !
If you want to change the way you feel you have to change your focus!
Changing you focus can mean to change the way you think about a specific thing, or it can mean to change the subject. So many people believe that positive thinking is about feeling great about awfull things. But you will never make it this way. Great things and awfull things are always present, and you will find what you look for! If you want to feel great, focus on what is great.
This is how you can feel better in any situation : Set a new intention ! It could be an intention about doing something or having something, but you can make it even more simple. Set a intention about how you want to feel! It will change your focus, and you will give a new direction to your flow of thoughts.
THE BIG PICTURE
However, don't get caught up in the moment to moment activity. You could feel like you are moving forward and still ending up at the same place. You have to have a VISION of the life you want. Then you can always come back to your vision to find inspiration and inner strenght. What is your ideal life? What kind of relationships do you want? What job do you want? Do you want to be an entrepreneur? Where do you want to live? What kind of vacations do you want to be able to take? Take time to define what you really want. You' ve heard it many times? Yeah I know, but did you do the work? And don't just think about it; writte it! Make it physical. Make a vision for your life and for yourself.
Yes you need to do this for yourself also. Because the YOU that is going to live this utlimate ideal life is not exactly the current You. If you were already the right YOU, you will be living that life! What kind of person do you want to be? What kind of emotions do you want to feel on a daily basis?
Once you have the vision everything will be easier.
EXECUTE YOUR PLAN
When you have the vision you can create a plan to acheive it. Bob Proctor says that succes is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal. If you adopt this definition of succes, once you have defined your ideal life and started working at it you can consider yourself succesful. Isn't that great?
And of course you will have to execute the plan. This means you will have to take action and go out of your comfort zone. There is a lot of misunderstanding about these two important subjects, action and comfort zone. It might well be the topic for my next article!
Wishing you the best!
